In Tim Pendry’s ‘Fifth Column’ in the Lobster 49, he wrote ‘no-one seems yet to have written the tale of how this post-war generation passed on its passions, beliefs and networks to the Reagan generation’. (page 4)
In fact Russ Bellant did in his Old Nazis, the New Right and the Republican Party: domestic fascist networks and their effect on US cold war politics, a Political Research Associates book (3rd edition published by South End Press, 1991.) In particular it covers the National Republican Heritage Groups (Nationalities) Council and the American Security Council together with a rag-tag of extreme right-wing groups.

Lobster 48 p. 24 claims that there is no mention of Bilderberg in the Bill Clinton autobiography despite being in the index. In actual fact the index listing is wrong when it gives page 376 under Bilderberg, it should say page 367 where there are two paragraphs explaining that BC was invited to Bilderberg by Vernon Jordan and where he met Gordon Brown. This indexing error has been corrected in the recent paperback edition.
