Brief mention for now of this. Renton is the author the piece in Lobster 35 on post-war fascism – which is why I got this. This is an analysis of analyses of fascism provoked by the author’s alarm at an apparent intellectual rehabilitation of fascism by writers examining what the fascists purported to believe rather than what fascists did. Most of it whistled over my head as I haven’t read the authors on whom he is commenting. This will be reviewed in the next issue by someone better qualified to do so than I.
