David Northmore
Cassell, London 1996
I don’t really know how to review this. As its title says, this a guide to investigative research; and, far as I can tell, a very good one, too. Northmore does include one or two case histories to lighten the load a little, but at least 85% of its 222 pages is just loads of useful information: addresses, guides through bits of law, and methods. Ever wondered how to find a company record? How to get access to local government proceedings? How to find out about Masons? Research a family tree? Etc etc. This tells you how. There is simply nothing else like it available.
