The three Arrigos
In the last Lobster (‘Spookaroonie’, p. 26) I noted the comments on <intelforum.org> of Maria Arrigo, a ‘social psychologist with experience in [intelligence] operations’ asking for evidence of ‘covert weapons experiments in post-war South America’ and wondered what was afoot. It was just an interesting little snippet which I came across at the last minute and boy oh boy, should I have done a quick Google!
David Harper e-mailed me about (Jean) Maria Arrigo:
‘She was a member of the American Psychological Association’s taskforce on psychologists’ involvement in interrogations and she’s recently gone public about some of the confidential discussions with the military and intelligence people involved in the taskforce ……. ’(1)
But there are other Arrigos; Jean Maria is one of three sisters.
There is a Dr. Sue Arrigo, who has made some extraordinary allegations, claimed to be based on personal experience,(2) about covert ops, remote viewing and corruption in US intelligence and the Bush administration, which are being widely quoted on conspiracy theory sites.(3) These stories are entertaining but highly improbable in places.
A third Arrigo sister, Dr. Linda Gail Arrigo, says that Dr. Sue Arrigo is a schizophrenic and her tales are delusions. Dr. Sue Arrigo denies this, calls it a smear and claims to have been drugged and tortured by the CIA.
This one, as the old cliché has it, is going to run and run.
Notes
- You can read more about her involvement in the debate at <www.ethicalapa.com/files/Goodman_and_Arrigo.doc>
- She claims to have been Special Operations Advisor to the Director of Central Intelligence and to have established the Remote Viewing Defense protocols for the Pentagon – and to have treated Osama Bin Laden for his kidney problem……
- Her allegations were even posted on <www.globalresearch.ca/indexphp?context=va&aid=9118> who should have known better; but I notice that URL now shows something else. Just Google her name.
