131. Lockerbie, Luggage and Lies (Book review) (Summer 2014) [Lobster #67 (Summer 2014) (free)] [Free Issue]
... book is a study of baggage-handling systems in airports. Another large chunk is about the forensic examination of the explosion and the attempt to determine where the bomb was placed in the cargo hold. I found much of this boring and some difficult to follow: it needs studying, note-taking. This made me feel the way I did as a JFK assassination beginner encountering the more arcane end of the research, such as the autopsy evidence. I skipped bits of it (Kerr provides handy summaries at the end of the detailed sections). But the detail is necessary because Kerr wants to show that the received versions are false, that the official investigations (and the Scots judges) ...

132. Sources [Lobster #29 (Jun 1995)]
... I mentioned the problem of page references when using material scanned on to a CD-ROM- namely, there aren't any. L.M.P., however, have attempted to preserve the paging of the original, though this does sometimes wander a few pages one way or the other. Nevertheless, this is a start. The late Larry Howard of the JFK Assassination Centre in Dallas seems to have been the progenitor of this project. It is a fitting tribute to him. NOTE: if you are outside the USA the Investigation can easily be obtained from Andy Winiarczyk at the Last Hurrah Bookshop, 937 Memorial Avenue, Williamsport, PA 17701, USA. ... field that is mostly ignored by the mainstream press. Both are worth investigating for their research on MI5, MI6 and other covert state activities, research that is largely unavailable elsewhere. While Steve Dorril's Lobster concentrates on the activities of the British and US security services, Robin Ramsay's Lobster casts its net wider to encompass histories of fascism, the JFK assassination, the Lockerbie bombing and the military's medical experiments on service personnel. What both Lobsters excel at are finding the links between apparently unrelated events, or finding the signif- icance of an event that many commentators would consider triv- ial. Alternative Literature The opening article by Daniel Brandt, 'Cyberspace wars', in addition to its ...

Cutler Cutler is the editor/producer of the Grassy Knoll Gazette, one of the JFK assassination journals. Over the years he has produced a great many books/pamphlets on the case. This is a 40 page pamphlet full of Cutler's beautiful drawings and maps which argues that 007 was not shot down by a Soviet interceptor, but was destroyed by an onboard explosion. "The Soviet Union was trapped into becoming a patsy." Cutler sees the event as analogous to the Gary Powers U2 incident which blew ...

... Direct Action, Issue #16 Autumn 2000 Lobster #39 Summer 2000 214 Westbourne Avenue, Hull HU5 3JB Lobster is the near legendary brainchild of Robin Ramsey, which deals with cover-ups and conspiracy theories within the corridors ofpower. Previous editions have dealt with such issues as American and Tory intervention in British unions, New Labour and the spooks, JFK, and plots by MI5/6 /CIA. That's not to say that Lobster is pandering to the audience forever more bizarre conspiracy theories. There are no stories like "aliens ate my hamster" or "JFKs brainfound on Mars" or other such weirdness beloved of the underground Fortean style press. This publication is based on solid ...

Norton, London and New York 1995 I didn't notice this when it was first published and came across a remaindered copy. Unlike the JFK murder, this case is absolutely straightforward. The forensic evidence is quite clear and inarguable: Robert Kennedy was shot three times at point-blank range- i.e. a range of less than three inches. The fatal shot was fired into his head behind his ear, at an inch or less. The 'story' told by the forensic evidence is of someone firing two point-blank ...

He even suggested that there were some in Washington who suspected Brandon's loyalty.(2) Another account recorded how Brandon always seemed to be at the back of any crowd of journalists seeking information from senior politicians. Harold Jackson's somewhat sour obituary in The Guardian pointed out that Brandon was excellent at ...

We had seen small magazines from the United States, the late Penn Jones Jnr's The Continuing Enquiry, for example, and in the UK the JFK Assassination Forum Newsletter, produced by Brian Burden and then Harry Irwin. When we met I was working on a radical-- left radical-- monthly magazine in Hull and had learned elementary lay-out and paste-up This was before computers were affordable.
