11. Publications and Book Reviews [Lobster #6 (Nov 1984)]
... Hall, London SE1 7BP Intelligence/Parapolitics October 1984. This Paris-based journal goes on getting better. (Mind you we've only seen a few editions). The mixture of detailed summaries of articles from the world's press plus reprints of especially notable pieces is very useful. This latest edition includes the significant extracts from the Defence Attache article on 007, a two page review/article on Loftus' The Belarus Secret, and precis on events in Italy, Peru, Africa, Mozambique, Iran, the General Collins trial mentioned in Lobster 1, (which has never been followed up in the UK press), Reagan, Laxalt and organised crime, and Nicaragua. ... Sarg. Major Daniel Lee Pitzer, with a foreword by Major General John K. Singlaub (Rtd). Singlaub (an old buddy of mercenary and arms dealer Mitch Werbell) is active in the American Security Council, and on the board of Western Goals, brainchild of right-wingers Larry McDonald (a leading John Bircher who died in KAL 007), and John Rees, editor of The Information Digest. Singlaub was dismissed by President Carter because he publicly opposed the withdrawal of some ground forces from South Korea. This may be explained by his membership of the World Anti-Communist League (WACL) which is heavily backed by the Korean Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church. In 1980 Singlaub ...

... world. The logic of Goodman's article appears to be that what the US intelligence service needs is a bunch of Marxists to do its analyses for it. With the US empire in decline, a Marxist perspective would produce an accurate picture. Grassy Knoll Gazette The February 1985 edition of the Grassy Knoll Gazette (see also the review of the 007 pamphlet) contains the transcript of a radio phone-in conversation with Gordon Novel. Novel is one of those people who have appeared at various points in the clandestine history of the US from 1963 onward. Novel's jumbled contributions are difficult to make too much sense of but he does clearly state that "Garrison found out from Walter Sheridan.. ...

... the response we have received- especially to No2, the issue on the assassination. Seems to us there are more people interested in the question than many people realise. We will be doing more on it, probably in the summer. Predicting future issues is always a little dodgy. For example we had planned a large piece on flight 007 for this issue but then R.W. But it is safe to say that among the pieces in preparation by us or other people are: computers in NI: more on the police use of computers in this part of the UK; the assassination of Airey Neave; the theft ...
